If you get this you have to get xbox live. A amazing online gaming system. Now I know the PS3 has free online play. While xbox live is $50 dollars a year. Xbox live is wayy better then play station network. Believe this was and is a great buy!! WOO HOO go xbox! |

Customer Rating:  07/05/2010 The Xbox 360 is a great console.. It has its flaws by Xerez Fist I will talk about the consoles flaws, and then the good stuff about it. Okay, first is the very two loud fans that is has. You can't hear the fans if you have the volume up loud , like I do, but when its down low you can hear them like a Jumbo Jet . The next thins is the scratching of the games. This happened to me the very first day I bought it. The little story goes like this. I had the console standing up right I put ODST in and started the game, so i looked at my console and I was afraid of it falling over , so i started to but it on its side. Then it happened, the sound that I fear hearing again. I opened the tray and my brand New ODST game was scratched all around the game the Xbox did a 360 scratch on my game! If this happens to you take it back to where you bought it, don't try the toothpast thing it just sound stupid. Okay, I think I said all the bad things that happened to me. Now on to the good things about the 360. The 360 is a good sold console and I think if anyone who loves Halo, like me, would get the Elite with ODST and Forza. If you can work around the flaws , the disk being scratched and fans.I like the fact that is comes with two games, but it only comes with one controller. I would Highly would recommend this console to anyone. Ps. Read the owners manual and all the warning labels and the label on the tray door it would have saved my alot of time. |

Customer Rating: 06/21/2010 has its goods and bads but mainly good by SomeGuyInAnAmbulance this system in simplest terms is great but has drawbacks... my main issue was price. being 14, so i cant work, and getting no allowance, thats alot of money to be spending on a game. i only spend about 3 or 4 hours a day playing it, but i dont play during the school days because of sports and homework, so its not being over played. Goods the xbox is more popular over ps3 around where i live and almost all of my friends have one. they all kept telling me that i "needed" to get one and that it is amazing, which is true. the graphics (after playing ps2 for whats seems like forever) are incredible. you can also upload music. just by putting in a cd or ipod and choosing what songs you want on your hard drive. you can listen to all your songs while your playing a game or at the dashboard. you can also upload videos, though i havent done that yet and dont know how to. xbox live is also great because there are always people playing so there is always someone to play a game with. you can also talk to the other people that you're playing with, although things that are said arent always... appropriate... but if your older then it makes the game funny. with all of this, there is a 120 gb hard drive which i have only used about 3 gb of data and thats mainly from the forza add on pack that comes with the game. the elite also seems to be good on heat resistance which helps against a type of red ring of death(rrod)... the rrod is nothing more than the console saying that there is something wrong with the system and different problems get different portions of the ring lit up. the games that come with it are, right now, 40 dollars which can change, but when i bought the bundle, they were both $60 and there was a 50 dollar gift card that came with it if i ordered online, but the bundle was $300 instead of $250. Bads price is probably my main problem with this console. the xbox in this bundle does not come with a wifi connection other than the ethernet cable that comes with it that is about 5 feet or so... and my xbox and computer are on different floors so it doesnt help me any. to buy a wireless network adapter, the cheapest one is about 100 dollars at bestbuy. so in order to have xbox live, you would need to spend100 dollars extra on the system and if you wanted a one year membership, thats 50 dollars. plus the warranty is around 80 bucks. other than price, i do have to say that i dislike that forza and halo come in the same case, so the manuals to the games dont go in the case, so i have to keep them in the console box. i also feel like i run through batteries like crazy... i needs new ones for the controller every other week, which isnt a problem if you have rechargeable batteries. think that covers just about everything, oh, and it comes with basic tv cables and no hd cables so if you have an hd tv, you would need to buy hd cables... which isnt a problem for me cause i dont have an hd tv... and so concludes a long review of this product, i hope i helped with the decision of getting this bundle. |

I enjoy them both and buy Modern Warfare 2 and Ace Combat 6 and the graphics are amazing! I love it and I have no problems with it and been playing it since May 15th!! I enjoy the Xbox Live and its only $50 PER YEAR!!! Not bad! Anyways, I gotta go and start gaming online! See ya on Xbox Live! I purchased my Special Edition XBox 360 Elite (Resident Evil Console $400 at the time) just about a year ago (May 2009). I originally purchased this item to play Call of Duty World at War (The zombies sucked me in), and have been awe inspired by the detail of the games, and how excellent this system has been holding up. For those who complain about the 'whirring' noise of the DVD, install the game onto the console so it doesn't spin a majority of the time. You still need the dvd in to play, but it keeps the system pretty quiet while playing. Ever since MW2 came out, it's been the only game that I have been playing. At one point while I was unemployed and doing some job hunting, I was playing for just about 5 hours a day at times. Darn thing was addicting! The price of these consoles are dropping due to the new 360 Slim that's on it's way. Might as well pick one of these guys up for $50 less than the new product while they are still available. Love my 360, and get to catch up with a nice handful of friends with the XBox Live. |

Customer Rating:  06/08/2010 Game console for 62 year old kid by snapwood Breathtaking ... very smooth and beautiful. Then you turn it on. ZZZZZZ An abrasive buzz coming from inside the Xbox. Like one of those little aquarium air pumps. How odd. Only during games that require access to the DVD. None of the games from Xbox Live cause this buzz. After getting over this irritation, I found the Xbox to be an exciting diversion. My suggestion? Get some of those noise cancelling headphones, put a grumpy look on you face, settle into a comfortable chair and tell everyone to leave you alone for an hour. Play FORZA MOTORSPORT 3. It will give your ticker a kicker. But you must be strong. If you are weak, you will cry like a little girl.
