Decent by
I wanted to use the mic on a part-time daily basis, requiring me to turn it on and off a great deal. Having to open it seems fairly tacky since I have a similar one from Radio Shack that has the on-off switch outside. Disappointing!!!!

Good, Professional Quality Wireless Microphone by raceresq67
For a single channel, VHF wireless mic, this is what you are looking for. Everything you need to get going is in the package including a battery (albeit a cheap one). Good sound quality, easy to set up and use. If you use XLR or 1/4" connectors, they are both available on this unit. For the money, this is a great addition to my simple DJ setup

Good buy for the money by freelance1
I own this unit and, a few more made by samson and, this company has never dissappointed me. The unit does not come in a hard case like some of the other samson units but, the quality is still there. None of the other samson products that I have, never have included an XLR cable and, as far as the channel number not being on the box, open it and, check it out it's marked on the front of the receiver. This is not a shure or a sennheiser or an ev product but, it is also not priced like one either. For the price you pay for this unit it will give you all that you want. If you are looking for an inexpensive handheld wireless mic with some really nice features you should check this out.

You get what you pay for by lightandsound1
You get what you pay for in this product. This is not the best wireless microphone system but works well for speeches and presentations on an amatuer level. Audio-technica or Shure would be better. The possibilty of having 25 different factory set channels exists but the only way to see what channel the system you bought uses is to open it up. There is no label on the outside of the package to make this easier. The unit reaches at least 200 feet with no major obsticles between the microphone and receiver. One drawback is the unit comes with a 1/4" to 1/4" cable and not an xlr to xlr cable.
