I have to say I was really excited about this tablet, but it lasted only a few weeks. All the browsers close down after 2 minutes of use, I have done a reset of the tablet and with no apps, it still happens. I am also disappointed at Motorola for selecting certain versions for updates and having us waiting for a confirmation of when we should receive updates and if we will receive it or not, they do not care much about customers. Get the new Asus or an iPad, but done waste your money.

I had been looking at this Xoom for months, as well as comparing other tablets to it. Decided on the Xoom. Why? Because of the reviews and all the specs were perfect for what I needed it for....and the great deal of only $399.00 for the Xoom at this time...good things come to those who wait!! Picked it up at Best Buy, but returned it within the week! I was very disappointed to have to return the Xoom! Before I bought it, I asked several different persons at Best Buy (over the phone) if it could be directly tethered with my droid...the answer was always yes. You see I live way out in the country and the only way I can get internet is to be able to USB cable connect. Connecting via WiFi using my phone as a hotspot while at home works, cut cannot hang onto the signal and I lost my work when tried. THERE IS NO USB cable tethering capabilities on the Xoom! Shame on you Motorola! I was so disappointed to have to return it. I travel with my business and this tablet was just perfect for using with my business when out...but useless when home. So, I'm researching once again for the perfect tablet to use in travel as well as home...one with USB tethering capabilities. I found 3 or 4 that do tether cablewise, so now it's just a matter of settling on one. I was just so disappointed after waiting so long, researching so much, then it not be what I expected and was told it could do! Think a Toshiba may be next in line... Found the Xoom to be a little thicker and heavier than expected but that wasn't much of a problem so would have not detered me from keeping it. Screen is a good size, videos and pics were very clean. Straight forward and easy to set up.

This is a great product and I tried most of the tablets in the market, clean the iPad. Electronics are build like a bullet. I have dropped my tablet and it still works like new. I have use Google chat and video with family and friends and everyone likes it. Best of all are useful business inn at my job. I have several email accounts, which I could juggle easily. ( personal and business accounts) My Zoom Is WiFi only and that is all I need, my Motorola Photon cell phone and my Zoom tablet Work so well together. I use my phone If I am not In a hotspot. I recently added a 32 gigabyte micro SD card to my Zoom tablet, so I can download personal videos of family and friends. I also made and edit videos on the Zoom with excellent results. Adding 32 gigabyte micro SD card it's 1 thing you can not go with the iPad 1, 2, etc.

I recently got this product from Motorola and it works great! I really like Android 3.0 witch I upgraded to 3.2. Some might say that only a DSLR can get crisp pictures but the camera on this tablet is amazing. Android 3.2 is a fun, easy to use operating system that has a nice clean finish. The OS does support flash videos witch is big for me considering that I keep a fair following on YouTube. The only strange thing about this tablet is that I got a 4G LTE enabled unit, where on the box it is clearly marked "WiFi only". I also found the SIM slot and threw my card in it. More investigating needs to be done, otherwise the tablet is great and fairly priced.

I purchased my Xoom just after it's release and at that time I would have given the product a solid 3 stars. My unit was just returned from Motorola for the lte upgrade and that seemed to coincide with a software upgrade that installed a few days later. Since the upgrades, it has been next to impossible to keep applications from locking or simply closing. At times there are pauses in typing and it can take from a few seconds to several for it to catch up. I like the Google operating system which I have on my Droid Bionic as well. But these two devices will probably be my last Motorola purchases. Employees at our company that have purchased these devices have the same issues. I would highly recommend Apple products.

I really wants to like it .... BUt didn't happens First of all .... the Power charger plug to the tablet is a joke ... It seems to be from the years 70' . No joking is a small tiny plug which doesn't even stay connected ... If you touch it while charging it stop working ... Come on Motorola it is a $700 tablet As battery gets low levels ( 20%) tablet fail , it gets crazy shouting different app to the screen ( could be just this one ) , Keyword stop working right . Resolution is very poor compared to most high pricey models . Tablet is very heavy and bulky which could be good if falls but uncomfortable to carry or hold it ( my 7 year old daughter notice this asa she hold it ) Screen touch not as smooth as I was waiting , after playing a game for 10 min finger stick to the glass , Resuming : after just one day I realize that wasn't a table for $700 . replace it for a Galaxy 10.1 32g .... only negative so far no HDMI . everything else works better than XOOM . BTW I was about to get a IPAD2 but I dont really likes Itunes and Ipad screen is boring looking as my old Ipod ... not much change . beside the huge app store .. Good luck

I'm recently a iphone owner and was orginally looking to get an ipad to replace my laptop. My wife and I came across the xoom for the Black Friday Price of $199.00. I figured that I'll at lease try it out before I decided the Ipad was the right choice. I was WRONG. This xoom is the best to me. The fact that you can just copy and paste files from your Desktop/Laptop is the Best thing ever. Apple makes it so hard for you to get data. I love my Xoom and haven't put it down since buying it. I promise that anyone that gets this won't be upset and want to take it back. To me, the ease of getting my files on the device is the most important thing. The xoom makes it beyond easy and I'm not even thinking about the Ipad anymore......... Plus I've saved hunderds of dollars....

I bought the tablet for my wife and she is very pleased. I must admit that she has no taken advantage of all the features, but she has been raving about the performance of the tablet. She loves the built in 3G and no longer has to look for hotspots.

I have had my Motorola Xoom now for about 2 months. I have not had any problems with it. I did purchase the 1G from Verizon and have realized I do not even use half that much in a month. I don't watch videos on, just play games and use calendar and few other apps that don't use a lot of memory. Otherwise it is an excellent tablet. Before I purchased it, I did research between this and the iPad2 and found this one has better functionality.
