Worked but Didn't by Techy
The watch worked like it was suppose to synced to my phone, gave me alerts. The problem was some combination of my Samsung S4, The watch, and my car's factory Bluetooth didn't play well. it sounded like i was talking on a $10 Bluetooth from 2002. Once i disconnected the watch from the phone the issue instantly resolved. not sure which of the three was the culprit but for me it made it useless.
Perfect for Business by DaGeek
I purchased the Sony Smart watch 2 in January 2014 and I have so far had the best experience with it. Its great for work, has a nice look to it, and is water resistant. There are hundred's of apps to download for all your needs. I also use it for run tracking. This is the best smart watch out there for android devises.
Alerts without being obtrusive by Nance
I am able to receive alerts for calls and messages without my phone ringing during meetings, while shopping or eating out.. If a call is important, I can get up and take it elsewhere. If emails demand attention, then I can reply on my cell.
Most convenient; however, I am a small person so I had the band replaced with a tan leather one. It looks trendy, the time is digital- for me- and light with the new band..
Which it werw compatible with other platforms by kidkamel99
Great looking watch but wish there was a way to work with other platforms. The UI was okay but not extravagant.
Great smartwatch but leaving wanting more by jeyhun77
While NFC didn't work to pair with my HTC M7, paired easily when using Bluetooth. closer look to a regular watch because of the metal band, but band still felt cheap and felt like a toy watch.
Awesome when it came to notifying of incoming calls, messages and other tasks.
Very User Friendly by s501682
I bought this watch because I am always on the go and needed something that would work with any phone. I am pleased with my purchase.
Fun Gadget by UnknownVar1able
There are quite a few good features about this little gadget. I love that it vibrates when I get a phone call. I can read my emails and stay ahead of the curve. I can read my texts and see who calls, but I cannot respond anything but a simple smiley face or pre-made messages. I would maybe wait it out until the Google Now watches come out, but this is fun for now.
Was a great accessory, until..... by Tampasteve
So I go to use Sony update for my smartwatch 2. While "updating" for about a half seconds, it says it's failed... So i try again... Instant fail.... Now my watch is bricked. Won't turn on or reset. I have yet to find anything helpful that will get this thing working again...
It went back to the store in under an hour! by john
Concept is great execution not. Would not NFC with my LG G2 phone had to manually pair Bluetooth. Text message alerts would not pop up had to check Messaging app manually. Needed two Initial Sony apps to get working. Then had to update watch firmware. There were lots of other Applets/Widgets you needed to download. I tried phone calling widget, weather, camera, text messaging, calendar, Gmail. Gmail is only synced mail program no way to link Corp or other email clients. Metal band was nice, liked the watch faces, but I expected more integration. Music app was terrible no song title or info displayed only a record symbol shows onscreen on the watch when controlling music app. Hopefully android wear will be better. Can't comment on battery life as I realized this watch was not for me in under an hour.
Waste of money by TampaGuy
I'm on my 2nd one - a replacement for the defective 1st one - and this one does not connect via NFC with my phone. So I connected it via Bluetooth. It has disconnected twice today. Sony really needs to take this back to the drawing board or to the garbage can. Please save your money and time....no pun intended. A disaster.
