I purchased this with a gift card, The Ipad does not stay in the unit, it just is too big and the Ipad 2 is just a tiny bit smaller. I haven't tried using velcro yet. The keyboard is ok. Problem being that the Ipad wants to bring up it's own keyboard so you have to drop the keyboard before you can use this one. It's ok, it's a cheap alternative when you need a keyboard, but wouldn't recommend for continual use.

It's a nice hard shell case to protect my IPAD2 during travels. Did not fit well with IPAD2 but a couple of velcro strips fixes that for me and holds it in place better. No accidental releasing of the latch either. The only problem I have is when its mounted horizontally that I cannot insert the charger.

I bought one for Christmas present and when we opened it up the power plug was broken. Exchanged it this morning for another one, and put the plug in and opened it up and it immediately broke just like the one we returned. I would not recommend this thing to anyone. Very poor design. The clam opens right over the USB cable and breaks off. Many reviews for the same thing. The plastic is very low quality hard shell plastic.

I really like the keyboard because it is a full sized keyboard. It does increase the size of the Ipad when traveling, but is lightweight and fits in my satchel.

I picked this up for $48.99 and have to say I really like the keyboard. I like the fact that it is full size and I like the way the iPad fits in the case. I use my iPad pretty much always in landscape mode, so this is perfect for me. The downside is the keyboard uses batteries and you cannot charge the iPad while in landscape mode. You can charge; however, if you place the iPad in portrait mode. I bought this waiting for stock on the claim case and think it will be a good alternate case.

It's a good idea but misses the mark. I had to return the first one, didn't connect to the Bluetooth all the time. Easy return at BB for the second one but it's just too awkward to use.

Purchased the Rocketfish keyboard dock as we found the on screen keyboard provided with the i-Pad too difficult to type on for long periods of time. It is very easy to slip the i-Pad into the Rocketfish. You can also attach the charging unit that comes with the i-pad, as well. Case is professional and carry handle is a bonus. Touch response on Bluetooth keyboard is good--responds like normal board. Very happy with purchase.
